~ Acton & Chiswick Darts League ~ 

League Rules 

1.       Matches will be played on Wednesdays. Open Board at 8:15 pm with a prompt start by 8:30 pm.

Re-arranged matches may be played on other nights other than Wednesdays, League Secretary to be informed of date and result ASAP. 

2.       Teams will consist of eight players and up to four substitutes. The league is open to men or women.  

3.       A team must have a minimum of six players to commence a match. Players arriving late will be permitted to play in outstanding legs.  

4.       Teams may not register players who are currently playing for County or Superleague teams. 

5.       The home team will provide a scorer (chalker) and the away team will provide a checker (optional) for each leg. 

6.       Players may be registered "on the night", but may only be registered with one team in the A & C Darts League. New signings should be clearly marked on the result card. 

7.       The playing format will consist of 16 legs as follows:- 1st Division    * ( 2nd Division )

                                     8 x Singles (Drawn)       @                              501                   * ( 501 )

                                                                              All games straight start. 

The Away team will throw first in odd legs ie 1,3,5 etc and the Home team will throw first in even legs ie 2,4,6 etc. 

The winning team will receive 3 points. In the event of a drawn match each team will receive 1 point. 

8.       Minimum throw will be 7' 9¼". Raised oche optional.  

9.       Players may be substituted at any time after the start of the match except during legs in progress. Substituted players may be used as substitutes later in the match. Substitutions in the pairs and singles must be made prior to the draw.  

10.    Result cards once completed and signed by both captains should be returned to the Chiswick Memorial Club by the Tuesday following match.

The winning side will be responsible for returning the card or the home side in the event of a draw. 

11.    Results should be text  to the League Secretary by the HOME TEAM on  ( 07801 445275 ) or e-mail ( geezerbloke666@sky.com ) by midday following day. 

12.    Teams postponing matches must give at least 24 hours notice, failure to do so will result in the match being forfeited. The team postponing a match will be responsible for rearranging the match. If matches are not played by the end of the season, then the team postponing will forfeit the match. Teams will only be allowed to postpone or accept one postponement during the season.  

13.    Where a match is postponed, teams should inform the League Secretary.. 

14.    Where a team forfeits or concedes a match they will receive 0 legs for, 9 legs against and 0 points, the opposing team will be awarded 9 legs & 3 points. 

15.    League Meetings will be held on the 1st Sunday of each quarter (January, April, July & October.) At the Chiswick Memorial Club or as notified. Start time 1:00 pm. All teams are expected to send a representative to League meetings.
